How to Promote Workplace Social Distancing with Signage

It is safe to say that 2020 hasn’t been the year that anyone thought it would be. There have been so many changes made to all of our lives, whether it is the way that we spend our time, the way that we socialise or the way that we work. For employers, Covid-19 has also meant that there has had to have been a wealth of changes. Not only to ensure that your business can actually open back up, but also to ensure that when you do, you keep everyone there safe. One of these changes is the addition of social distancing signage.

Social Distancing Signage

Technical Signs have created a great range of social distancing signage to help your workplace stay covid secure. You can download our brochure here: https://www.technicalsigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/TS-social-distancing-signs.pdf

One of the biggest factors when it comes to protecting your employees and your customers from Covid-19 is social distancing, however, it can be hard to make sure that people adhere to these rules.

This is where signage can help. But how, how can signage help to promote social distancing in your workplace?

Make Space Signage

Whilst we all know about the fact that we need to keep 2 metres away from other people when we are outside of our family bubbles, however, how much is 2 metres? Unless you carry around a ruler with you at all times, chances are that you won’t be able to identify 2 metres easily. This is where signage can help. Signage will show you a 2-metre distance and will help those around you to ensure that they keep their distance.

Wash Your Hands

Another great thing that signage can do is to create visual reminders of what you need to do to keep yourself and those around you safe. Most people know that they need to wash their hands when they have been to the toilet and on a regular basis, however, there are all times when we can forget things. Having a visual reminder is sometimes all that you need to ensure that you do what you need to do.

Directional Signage

Covid-19 has limited the face to face contact that we can have with those around us, this also is true within working environments, which limits the interactions that you can have with your customers and your employees can have with one another. What if you have a visitor come into the premises or a staff member who is coming back to work and they need to know how to move around? Without having someone there to show them, they could get lost or move in a way that unsafe to them or anyone else. Having signage on floors and walls can mean that we can move around the premises, without the need to have someone there to show us the way.

Covid Secure Signage Options

Safety from Covid-19 is something that we all need to take care of and focus on. Particularly how it relates to ourselves and our own safety. However, as an employer, it is important that you do whatever you can to make sure that those people who you are in charge of know what to do and how the best way to do it is.
