Creating Custom Signage
Here at Technical Signs, we are well known for creating and installing signage for restaurants, retail stores, and leisure businesses. But did you know, we love creating bespoke signage and custom artwork too?
A while ago, we were approached to make a set of custom signage to live onboard a spaceship on the new HBO series called Avenue 5. Of course, we said yes! Our team loves a challenge and is constantly pushing the boundaries of innovative design, so it was a pleasure to work alongside a team of creatives with no restrictions when it came to imagination or vision.
That being said, we were still able to design, manufacture and install the spaceships’ custom signage at the most affordable and viable costing, without compromising on the visuals.
Avenue 5 is a space tourism comedy set 40 years in the future. The first episode only aired on January 19th, 2020. So that means there is still PLENTY of time to catch up in time for the finale. Want to know the best bit? A second season has already been confirmed!
And as for the signage…
It was an inspiring opportunity for the team to take on another bespoke project and get creative with the custom signage. We covered everything from 3D metal letters to internally lit signs to bring the ship to life, using highly efficient LED lighting for those long days on set.
