CAD OPERATOR ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast paced and forward thinking signage manufacturing company based in Watford.
Due to expansion, we are now looking to recruit an individual to join our drawing office. You will be expected to work alongside our existing team under guidance and instruction of our Technical Manager
We are therefore looking for experienced sign CAD OPERATOR who have knowledge in this sector, dedicated, hardworking, innovation in mind and is willing to play an important part in the design of bespoke industrial and retail signage.
You will need to be experienced in CAD and in the signage sector, with the ability to meet all challenges head on, work either individually or as a team, be proactive and work on the own initiative. These characteristics will be pivotal in order to succeed in this fast paced environment.
Experience and Characteristics required:
- Must have at least 4 years in CAD operations and ideally within the signage industry.
- Working with all aspects of materials within our industry.
- Understand working with Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Mild steel and Acrylics.
- Be able to design signage elements in conjunction with budgets.
- To accurately follow Client design drawings and job sheets, ensuring manufacturing drawings are precise and the products meets the business and clients specifications and brief.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive and Pro-active approach to work.
- Must have a sense of humour and the ability to blend in as part of a tightly knit team.
- Must work within all Health & Safety requirements.
Job Role will include but not limited to: liaising with project managers and internal departments on design and construction *
- Understanding the need and expectations of the business.
- Creating and checking production files for accuracy before issuing to production.
- Understand and get to know the limits of machinery and cutting equipment in order to create appropriate drawings.
- Completing the production job sheets in accordance with internal standards.
